Hometown: Pittsburgh

Current/Previous Career: I work at Children’s Hospital as a Senior Professional Nurse in Abdominal Transplant, and have been there for over 8 years. We primarily do liver, kidney and small intestinal transplants. I am obsessed with my patients!

Tell us about your Family: My entire family lives within five minutes from us, which I love, and my husband is Colombian and he is the only one from his family in the U.S. They visit us frequently and we will take Elena there in February for the first time!

What are your current challenges as a mom? I recently started babysitting my nephews on my days off so I am learning to balance two babies, and it is hectic. I have a lot more to learn before I have another I think!

What is your favorite part of motherhood? I am never bored! There is always something to do.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to a first time mom? If they asked for my advice, I would definitely recommend surrounding themselves with any type of new-moms group because I found that so helpful on my maternity leave.

What do you like about Stroller Strides? Everything! The structure, the convenience, the frequency, and intensity and most importantly the fact that I can bring Elena.

What is your favorite exercise? I am starting to like running more and more, especially outside in the park.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us or makes you unique? I am a homebody by nature, but having a baby has sort of forced me to become more social in a good way I think. I find Elena to be much more social than I am so we constantly are on the go now because she loves being out and about!
