Lori is the oldest of six children and grew up in Niles, Ohio. She was a three sport athlete in high school and received a scholarship to play basketball in college. After graduating with a teaching degree, Lori taught and coached in the Akron (OH) area for nine years. She stayed active after her college career by participating in YMCA/church sports leagues and fitness classes. She also stayed fit using many home DVD programs and free YouTube channels. Her husband’s new job brought them to the Pittsburgh area in December 2014, and their daughter, Hannah, was born in November 2015. Lori heard about Stroller Strides from a mom in a breastfeeding group through Sewickley hospital. She really needed to get out of the house and was desperate to get back into shape. After one workout she was hooked. It was a challenging workout, and she met so many new women she could relate to. Lori felt welcomed by the group, accomplished an intense workout, and the best part, Hannah was entertained the whole time and made some new friends. She is thankful to have found a new calling. She hopes to inspire mamas to become their fittest self and show our little ones the importance of being active.more
